Pony’s, an IPA session from Gent.
Still relatively little is known about this beer, but would have been brewed for Jiggers cocktail bar and De Ganzerik café (official name: Eentjevanthuis) in Gent.
Initially it was called “That Pony” and together with “This Pony” it was the house beer in their popup bar Pony.
Both developed in collaboration with ‘t Verzet and also brewed there. After the popup, the beer was given a second life as a house beer at Jiggers and De Ganzerik.
These days it is brewed at Brew Society in Kortrijk.
The beer has a fruity citrahop smell and taste with a good bitterness.
Because these Pony’s are relatively light in alcohol percentage, this beer is smoothly drinkable.
Great on a warm summer day!
