Buio from the Italian White Pony microbrewery.
The beer lovers of this brewery will certainly like this beer.
Buio is a pitch black Imperial Stout, brewed with oatmeal and aged in Bourbon barrels.
The use of the oatmeal gives it a slightly full body with the roasted malt tones coming out nicely.
Black coffee and dark chocolate in combination with a sweet attack, but also a good dose of dark fruit, a little vanilla and a wooden touch of the Bourbon barrels.
A moderate bitterness with a pleasant slightly alcoholic touch of barrel maturation.
Very nicely balanced and again typical of the sweet character, very easy to drink.
I personally think this is a striking asset of this brewery.
