ACAB from the Italian White Pony microbrewery.
No, it has nothing to do with the most famous translation of ACAB, the brewer calls it “All Crops Allow Brewing”.
It is well known that White Pony has some beautiful Quadrupels and Barrel Aged beers.
What about their IPAs I hear you ask. For some time he has also been experimenting with IPAs, but personally I think these are of a different level than his heavy, fat Quads and Stouts.
According to the brewer, this ACAB is a New England IPA, and that’s just the thing for me.
The taste is rather malty and lacks the typical NEIPA fruitiness. The aftertaste is rather drier and bitter in the aftertaste.
Long story short: is it a NEIPA?
I would say no …
So it isn’t tasty?
Yes, but you expect that little bit more from a NEIPA …
