Smokin ‘Wild, the name says it all, a smoked beer!
A Lichtenhainer! A what? A Lichtenhainer! Ow … ??
A Lichtenhainer is a smoked, sour blond beer brewed in the German way and containing 1/3 oak smoked malt, 1/3 pilsner malt and 1/3 wheat malt.
I saw that lion and the name of the beer, so I initially prepared for a smoked beer. Yes, that typical smoked flavour is recognizable.
What I was not so prepared for is that it also contained acidity …
In itself a strange combination, a smoked beer with acidity, but lovers of a lightly smoked beer with acidity will certainly appreciate this Smokin ‘Wild.
Do not expect a standard beer, this beer is only for enthusiasts!
