Sint Amatus Reserva 2018 – Oostvleteren 12

Sint Amatus Oostvleteren 12 of the Struise Brouwers.

It is already known that the Struise Brouwers stand for quality.

This Reserva 2018 is a Belgian Quadrupel with an alcohol content of 10.5%.

Matured for 2 years in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels.

A remarkably slightly sweet Quadrupel in which the Bourbon barrel aging is softly present.

Slightly fruity, reminds me of plum.

Connoisseurs of this beer will notice that this 2018 edition is slightly less full of body compared to older versions.

Nevertheless very tasty and certainly recommended to let this beer mature for a while in a dark, cool place …
