This Berliner Weisse from Berlin’s Schneeeule is slightly different from their other Berliner Weisse beers.
Hot Irmi was brewed with the addition of fermented Habanero peppers.
The pepper in combination with a citrusy touch with the typical acidity.
The beer was flavored with orange, lemon and pomegranate peels.
This Berliner Weisse also has a small foam head that almost immediately disappears completely.
The habaneros provide a spicy touch that lingers in the aftertaste.
The Schneeeule Brewery was founded in 2016 by Ulrike Genz. With the aim of giving Berlin back a piece of culture: the real Berliner Weisse. In this way, the brewer wants to give the Weisse back where it belongs; in every Bar and Restaurant worthy of its name in Berlin, and in a good glass. All beers brewed by the Schneeeule Brewery are fermented in the bottle with Brettanomyces and matured in the bottle for at least 2 months.
Just as it happened 150 years ago.
