The beer is brewed with local (Boslands) water.
This Pijnven belongs to their latest barrel-aged series from 4. This time their Hobos Tripel was matured for 4 months in fresh calvados barrels.
The basic beer is nicely preserved.
The Calvados barrel maturation provides a slightly sweet influence.
Typically calvados/apple fruity and slightly woody.
Nicely balanced and very pleasant to drink.
Attention! This big guy has an alcohol content of 10.5%!
