Frambuesa Y Chocolate from Hof ten Dormaal from Tildonk.
This farm brewery has a nice range of beers on their tally. From blond to dark beer to sour experimental brews and unique barrel-aged series. They can do it all.
And this beer also fits perfectly in the list here. Experimental and slightly sour.
Judging by the name, I expected a dark beer that was more reminiscent of the Barista Chocolate Quad.
I was very surprised when I saw the color of this beer. Rather dark brown / red with a small foam head.
The aroma immediately discerns the raspberries, which also come into their own in the taste. In the aftertaste, a light touch of chocolate returns which immediately lives up to its name.
The typical raspberry tart is present, but not very predominant.
A fun and experimental beer that pleasantly surprised me!
