Dragon’s Milk – Solera

Dragon’s Milk Solera from the American New Holland Brewing.

New Holland has already released several versions of Dragon’s Milk, each and every one of them pearls of beers.

This Solera is slightly different from what we are used to from them, but again very interesting.

They describe it as an American Strong Ale, but I prefer to compare it more as a variation of an Old Brown style, but without the sour…

The reason for this is that this beer itself is a blend of a beer that was matured in oak foeders.

A striking slightly woody touch in combination with a caramel malty and slightly sweet character.

A very nice beer that will certainly evaluate further in its complexity over the years.
