Cardeña Tripel

Cardeña Tripel, a Spanish Trappist beer from the Monasterio San Pedro de Cardeña.

The Monastery itself is affiliated with the International Trappist Association, but the beer may not bear the authentic Trappist logo.

The reason for this is that the beer itself is not brewed in the monastery.

A bit similar to the French Trappist beer Mont des cats.

Taste rather malty with a slightly sweet start and a lower bitterness.
