Aestatis Reserva 2014 of the Struise Brouwers.
An amber-colored Saison, matured for 5 years in Weber Haus Cachaca Premium Brazilian Rum barrels.
The rum barrels have left their mark immediately on pouring this beer.
A small head and a good dose of Rum fragrance are striking.
The taste can also be described as alcoholic, with a great influence of Rum, but also a woody, typical slightly sour taste of the barrel maturation.
The onset is slightly sweet, the aftertaste rather alcoholic. A nice beer for lovers of the heavy stuff who like a certain Rum influence in their beer.
